One of Lainey’s priorities, both with The Best of Women’s Fiction podcast and this scholarship, is to help raise the visibility of writers who have been historically underrepresented in publishing.
Our scholarship goal is for each cohort of the 12 Weeks to Book Launch Success program to offer a scholarship opportunity (no cost program registration) to at least one writer from an under-represented group. (Examples could be BIPOC authors, LGBTQIA+ , authors with disabilities & chronic illness, or other historically under-represented groups).

We take submissions on a rolling basis and before each cohort begins, we consider all of the applicants (Which means you can apply at any time and you will be considered for the next program start date).
Applications are reviewed by a volunteer scholarship team (not by Lainey Cameron). The team bases the selection on a combination of potential benefit to the writer of the program, willingness and history of supporting other writers, and financial need.
The application form asks about your book’s anticipated launch timing, how you will pay forward the opportunity, financial means, and for a short writing sample.
